Nuuk Ministerial Council

Lt. Governor Treadwell attended the Arctic Council Ministerial meeting in Nuuk, Greenland on May 12. The U.S. delegation was led by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the highest ranking U.S. official to attend an Arctic Council meeting. The Council discussed a broad range of Arctic issues and signed a search and rescue agreement delineating areas of responsibility for Arctic search and rescue operations.
